This presentation gives an overview of learning mathematics by students with Down syndrome from the early years to adulthood. Common challenges and strategies to work around them will be presented.

Dr. Rhonda Faragher, Associate Professor in Inclusive Education at the University of Queensland, Australia where she is also the Director of the Down Syndrome Research Program. 

As a secondary mathematics teacher by background, Rhonda has always

had an interest in assisting everyone, including those with Down syndrome,

to learn to love mathematics and to appreciate its power for their lives.
